For many, especially older generations, network marketing has a negative stigma attached to it. This is largely because of annoying tactics used in the past. But that really has changed; those ways turned people off, obviously, and companies using those old ways have gone by the wayside.

If your idea of network marketing was what I just described, and you’re unfamiliar with it, take a look at what it’s like today. Now, celebritites are endorsing and even founding network marketing companies. Today, big companies are failing and asking the government for bailouts, but take a look at the network marketing industry and you will see companies breaking sales records and paying out bigger bonuses than ever.

One look at some key internet statistics, and you’ll see that more people than ever are searching the net for ways to start their own business. And guess what, most are ready to start now, and are just looking for the right opportunity. All you have to do to profit is place yourself in front of them and help them get started.

I’ll give you 3 reasons why now is absolutely the best time to get involved in network marketing, even though I could go on forever with other reasons.

1. Jobs come and go quickly: It used to be that you got a good job and they would treat you well for life, and you would end up retiring with that golden watch. Today people change careers multiple times in a lifetime, and now the average American has over 10 jobs by age 35 (u.s. dept of labor stat). With all these corporations laying off thousands of people, a “plan B” or secondary income isn’t optional, it’s essential. Network marketing is about building your own personal brand (instead of some company’s brand), creating a base of business partners and customers, and building a business asset that will continue to pay you for a lifetime.

2. Pension? Social Security? You Must Be Crazy! Company pensions and that golden watch are a thing of the past. Companies couldn’t afford them and left employees to throw their extra money into their own 401k’s…and with today’s economic crisis, most peoples’ 401k’s look more like 201k’s.Social security won’t even be there for my generation, and even if it were why would I want to work all those years, pay all that money to the government, so that I could retire and live on 40% of the income I was used to making.

3. Timing and Positioning: The best time to ever get involved in anything is ahead of the wave. Look at the housing explosion of a few years ago…if you got in on investing in some real estate early on you would probably be sitting on a beach in the Caribbean right now, not reading this! But if you got started later on, well you just might have lost your shirt. Same thing with the stock market, the dotcom boom…I could go on and on. So if record numbers of people are searching for a way to start their own business RIGHT NOW, wouldn’t now be the best time to position yourself ahead of that trend and profit off all those to come? I think so. Too many people put their faith in other people or in their company.

When you start your own mlm business you don’t have to rely on anyone. You now write your own paycheck. Sure there can be challenges, but if you want more money, you control it, not your boss! If you’re willing to invest some time up front to learn some new skills and put them to work, you can create a part-time income that will outgrow your full-time income.

Listen, now’s not the time to procrastinate.

A recession is the transfer of money from the SCARED to the BOLD.

Network marketing is one of your few opportunities in these times, and now is the time to take advantage of it.

To Your Success,
Brent Wehmeyer
